Dr. J Tyler Cummins
DMD
Dr. Cummins is from Meadville, MS. He attended the University of Mississippi and received his bachelor’s degree. Following completion of his undergraduate studies, Dr. Cummins worked for the Mississippi State Senate before attending the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry in Jackson, MS where he received a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. He then practiced dentistry for five years in Hattiesburg, MS and Tuscaloosa, AL before joining Dr. Eggers and Dr. Drummond at Jasper Comprehensive Dentistry. He has completed postdoctoral training in dental implants, root canal therapy, bone grafting and orthodontics. Dr. Cummins believes in staying current with the latest advancements in modern dentistry and has attended continuing education courses from coast to coast.
Dr. Cummins loves to develop friendships with his patients. He understands that medicine today can be complicated, so he educates his patients in a way that allows for them to make the most informed decisions about their dental treatment options. Dr. Cummins is a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantology, Academy of General Dentistry and the Alabama Dental Association.
Dr. Cummins and his wife Jackie have 3 children – Jane, Lizzie and George. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, spending time with this family and friends, and watching Ole Miss sports.
Dr. Michael Drummond
DMD
Dr. Michael Drummond was born in Sipsey, Alabama. He is a graduate of Walker County High School. He then attended the University of Alabama, earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry. After his completion at the University of Alabama, Dr. Drummond was accepted into dental school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he graduated with his Doctorate Degree in Dental Medicine. Dr. Drummond enjoys spending time with his wife of 48 years, his two sons (wives), and grandchildren.
Dr. Keith Miller
DMD
Dr. Miller is a member of the Birmingham Dental Society, the Alabama Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. He specializes in esthetic, implant, and reconstructive dentistry to enhance results and correct functional deficiencies. Dr. Miller is a native of Guin, Alabama, and has three beautiful daughters. He moved to Birmingham to attend the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he was accepted into the School of Dentistry early. There, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Science and later his Doctorate Degree in Dental Medicine. After dental school, he completed a post-graduate residency in Advanced Prosthodontics at the UAB School of Dentistry. Dr. Miller established his own practice in Birmingham after completing a two-year mentorship with Dr. Dwight Castleberry.
Dr. Kinjal Patel
DMD
Dr. Kinjal Patel is originally from Selma, Alabama. She attended The University of Alabama where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology. Dr. Patel then attended UAB School of Dentistry where she graduated with her Doctorate Degree in Dental Medicine. An active member in the dental community, she keeps her skills up to date and sharp by actively participating in multiple professional groups, including the Alabama Dental Association. She looks forward to providing a dental experience centered around making the patient feel comfortable and valued. Dr. Patel always strives to provide care that is always gentle, personalized, and precise. She listens to each of her patient’s individual needs, properly educates, and delivers customized care.
During Dr. Patel’s free time she loves to spend quality time with her friends and family, try new restaurants, and travel the world.
Dr. Olivia Van Praag
DMD
Dr. Olivia Van Praag is originally from Asheville, NC but has made Alabama her home – Dr. Van Praag attended the University of Alabama for her undergraduate degree prior to attending dental school at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. After earning her dental degree, Dr. Van Praag went on to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at the Birmingham VA Medical Center. Throughout her residency she gained in-depth training in comprehensive dental procedures including, implants, crowns, root canals and extractions.
Dr. Van Praag is passionate about creating a personal connection with each of her patients allowing her to provide the best comprehensive dental care to everyone!
In Dr. Van Praag’s free time she enjoys spending quality time with friends and family and trying new restaurants around Alabama. She loves to travel, golf, hike and spend time outside!
